The Elm City Bank, New Haven, Obsolete $2 bank note, Haxby CT-275, with signatures of I.K. Ward, Cashier and E.C. Scranton, President, dated April 1, 1862. Featuring large green "TWO-2-TWO" and "2" protectors; at lower right a ship building vignette with three men, one with an adz, one with a board on shoulder and the third lazing with a jug and auger at his feet; at lower left, a girl within an oval frame holding a hen and chicks. At bottom, American Bank Note Company, New York, Patented 30 June 1857. CT Ch227
